National Theatre visit
Year 12 and 13 drama students from Ark 6th Form East Sussex visited the National Theatre on London’s Southbank to see a production of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour by Lee Hall, writer of the West End musical hit Billy Elliot.
The production is a brilliant new comedy which explores the adventures of a group of Scottish choir girls on an unforgettable visit to Edinburgh. The production features an engaging live soundtrack and has been a major hit of the summer. It was an inspiring show for the students as they prepare to devise their own performances for future examinations.
The students also managed to see live street theatre in Covent Garden and visit the National Theatre’s workshops to see technical work backstage. The trip is part of our commitment to introduce students to a range of significant, inspirational performing arts and theatre events.
