Social action project for Sara Lee Trust
During the Autumn term, Year 12 students on the Professional Pathways course have been involved in a social action product run by the National Citizen Service. The students took part in training days where they were able to develop some of their skills and attributes. They also spent a weekend away in Dorset on a PGL camp with other schools from around the country.
The training days were a build up for the students to plan a social action project. This project was aimed at trying to do something that would help a target audience within the local community. Due to some restrictions the students eventually planned a fundraising event, with the funds going to the Sara Lee Trust. The students worked together planning and participating in the project and raised money for the charity.
