High expectations

High Expectations
Ark 6th Form life is underpinned by the highest expectations of all members of our community.
Our excellent teaching and pastoral care and extensive enrichment opportunities enable every student to realise their academic potential and be prepared for their next steps. By the age of 19 we expect every student to be appropriately qualified and skilled to fulfil university ambitions or pursue the career of their choice.
We set aspirational targets for all our students in all of their subjects and are committed to delivering the quality of provision to achieve these.
We work closely with Ark Schools to foster strong relationships with universities and our students have access to ARK’s University and Careers Success Programme, through which our students can apply for a number of higher education bursaries.
Exceptional role models
With a strong emphasis on personal accountability we encourage our sixth form students to make significant contributions to the immediate and wider community.
Throughout their time at Ark 6th Form students are encouraged to develop leadership roles within the student body and contribute to raising the aspirations of the younger students within the Academies. Our students are keen to share the opportunities they have been afforded through Ark 6th Form to support a drive to raise the ambitions of the young people of Hastings and Rother.
We actively develop creativity and enterprise, leadership and responsibility and a concern for the wider community. Our students are expected to lead fundraising events for local, national and international charities and participate in a range of community projects.
We value every individual in our community by fostering a culture of equality and respect.
