A warm, sunny evening and the beautiful grounds of the Powder Mills Hotel in Battle provided the perfect setting for the Ark 6th Form prom. 

Year 13 students, along with staff from Ark Helenswood and Ark William Parker Academies, celebrated this annual event in style. The guests looked stunning in all their finery; the young ladies in dazzling dresses and the young men dressed to impress. To the surprise and amusement of the students, a peacock gatecrashed the event to join in the fun and displayed all his magnificent finery too. 

The guests enjoyed a buffet supper, laughter, dancing, music from DJ Dozza and a photo booth which seemed to bring out the fun side of everyone, including the staff! The evening was a fine opportunity for the students to spend time together, celebrate all their hard work and to breathe a sigh of relief after finishing exams before moving on to their chosen pathways.

Mr Doherty, Head of Year 13, said “Over the last two years, our students have worked incredibly hard and this was a fantastic opportunity for us to send them on their way in style. They have been a brilliant year group to teach and all the staff who attended enjoyed the opportunity to wish them well for the future.”

The evening was a great success and a fabulous time was had by all.
